Travel when ready, and... lower your expectations!

A page describing in very few conclusive words what's about various travel destinations and what's overrated/underrated about them according to people who've been there. Travel, see the world, get prepared by reading what others have to say! Countries, Cities, Attractions and our very own Pretty and Shy destinations featuring places that are generally off the tourist radar! And have a look at our weekly updated Blog page! Most of the pages have links to others (in orange color!) for ease of browsing. There's also a like button (heart) and some have a rating bar at the bottom of the article. Click on the map below on any blue area to go to respective country page, or on the orange dot to the respective city.

We are a group of friends based in Toronto, Canada and we built this site to show the places we and other people have been to and what we think about it. This is in no way an exhaustive description of the countries, cities or attractions. Just a few words and hopefully you as a visitor will get curious to visit the places we feature in this site. We all have a limited span of attention and we try to keep our descriptions around 1 minute read.

If you have opinions on the places we show here, you either visited or wish to visit, let us know in the comments. If you’ve been there, what do you think other should be aware of and be skeptical about? Most countries and tourist destinations area advertised as heaven on earth, while the reality is that many tourists would rather know if there are any potential issues and maybe some things are overrated.

As a requirement for leaving a comment, a valid email address should be provided. All comments are moderated and your email will stay confidential from the moment you write in the email box. By the time we approve your comment we have already forgotten your email address so no ads or spam will ever come your way from us.

Travel, expect the best and yet prepare for less than the best by lowering your expectations. Every travel destination has its own beauty and tourists flock there for many reasons. We strongly encourage everyone to travel and build memories and this site is by no mean made to promote negativity towards a certain destination. Overrating a destination, with a tongue-in-cheek attitude, is one way to bring awareness and hopefully we can help each other by commenting on the destinations we have posted here.
